Special needs

DJ Workshops has worked in a number of Special needs Schools. The DJ Equipment we use is very easy for young people to use of all abilities. The Young people are able to use the pitches to make the music go faster and slower. The DJ equipment that we use has ultra pitches which drastically change the music which is great fun! There is also reverse buttons and other effects. We also use effect units where the young people simply move their hand above the unit to change the sound. We can also make CDs of the students work for them to keep. We have found all young people that take part finds the workshops really fun and gain confidence quickly in the equipment.

The DJ'ing can be run as a Bronze Arts Award course

We recently have successful passed all 15 young adults from the GAP club in Basingstoke

Electric Guitar

The Electric Guitar Workshop has been a huge success and all young people have enjoyed the workstations where they have their own guitar with headphones. The less able are able to touch the strings to create amazing electric sounds. Photos:

Graffiti Art

The young people are able to design as a group a drawing of what they would like and then work with the tutor to Spray paint a piece of Art. This can be done as a group project or the young people can make their own piece of work on a special A4 board that they can take home. The workshops can also use other materials to make a piece of art with paint pens which some young people find easier. We can also run Art projects in Acrylics. These Art workshops are great for School projects to give a visual understanding to learning. Please see the Graffiti Information for photos of work.

Music Production

We have found all young people to really enjoy this workshops and create their own tracks. The young people will all add their own sounds which they will hear in the finished track. When they hear the finished track they love hearing what bit they have done, we also love to have singing and rapping along side. The whole studio is brought to your school and there will be lots of equipment for them to use and experiment on. There will be a copy of the track for each young person to take home. All of these workshops can be run as a Bronze Arts Award. We run workshops in Street dance lead by very talented artist who make the workshops fun for all abilities and ages.

Special Needs Schools

When Julie brings her DJ workshops into school, I know that the students are guaranteed to learn new skills and extend their ICT knowledge through fun-packed, interactive music sessions. I have also witnessed students gain confidence as they practise their new found DJ talents.

Julies DJ workshops were great for our group. Julie engaged and explained things so well that she enthused the whole group. What a pleasure to work with such a happy and professional person looking forward to more in the future.
